Due to continuing international growth ROVOP have an exciting opportunity for a Supply Chain Coordinator to join our team, based in Houston.
The Supply Chain Coordinator role will support the Supply Chain function, Commercial, Finance, Project and ROV teams, also assisting the Operations Department in all aspects of procurement, logistics, expediting and regulatory requirements.
Key duties and responsibilities to include, but are not limited to:
- Obtaining competitive quotes for logistic and transportation costs
- Arrange air/sea/road transportation with third parties to move goods (including urgent and high value freight) in accordance with customer/company requirements
- Arrange the appropriate packaging (consideration to; weight, dimensions, nature of goods - dangerous items/chemicals and cost) including Dangerous Goods packing and documentation
- Assist workshop personnel with loading/unloading shipments ROV systems and equipment, including small forklift operation
- Documentation preparation to meet customs import/export requirements, packing specifications and compliance with client requests
- Ensuring forms, registers, Import and Export documentation are effectively maintained along with the company’s Export Licenses and Applicable Authorisations
- Assist with arranging payment of freight, demand notices and other associated charges
- Assist in maintaining accurate records on all supply chain activities and equipment management
- Raising purchase orders, procure goods and services in line with ROVOP processes, expediting goods in a commercially astute manner and supporting vessel mobilisations as required
- Dealing with customer, supplier and logistic queries
- Participate and assist in commercial tenders and quotations in relation to freight movements of ROV, Survey and any associated equipment
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement to existing processes in order to improve efficiencies within the supply chain function
- Provide cover where necessary for other members of the Supply Chain team.
Qualifications & Experience:
You will need to hold extensive import/export experience preferably in the subsea sector, with working knowledge and experience within a similar field. In addition the below skills would be desirable.
- Very familiar with Harmonized and Schedule B tariffs
- Familiar with INCO terms, with respect to correctly shipping goods especially via air or sea freight
- Be familiar with CBP (Customs and Border Protection)
- Familiarity with freight forwarding and shipping agents and their capabilities
- Strong administration skills
- Work unsupervised in warehouse with respect to receiving/shipping goods, packing etc
- Offloading/loading transport using small and large forklifts
- Maritime and the oil and gas industry knowledge helpful.
As you will be managing a variety of relationships with different stakeholders, it is important you have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and can engage support and cooperation at all levels.
