Due to continuing international growth ROVOP Inc. have an exciting opportunity for ROV Pilot Technicians, at all levels, to join us on permanent basis. We currently have a number of global projects extending to 2025 and beyond, on dedicated schedules.
As a ROV Pilot Technician, you will primary responsibility for the piloting of the ROV, execution of ROV operational tasks. maintenance and repair of the ROV system, implementation and monitoring of technical procedures and reporting, work management.
Key duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: -
• Must be knowledgeable and experienced with the ROV control, navigational and propulsion systems.
• Assist in the Launch and Recovery of the ROV System
• Ensuring that the ROV and all its systems are in complete working order and in compliance with all technical requirements throughout the contract period
• Conducting the dive in accordance with recognized operating procedures to conduct carry out designated work safely and efficiently.
• Undertake navigation and observers’ duties to include Log Keeping, and operating operation of manipulators and ancillary equipment fitted to the ROV.
• Be capable of assessing weather conditions and operational parameters for safe ROV operations.
• Pilot ROV independently and in most environmental conditions.
• Complete and submit written operational/technical reports at the end of each offshore cycle relating to all aspects of the project and technical repairs conducted.
• Maintain working knowledge of third-party tooling and sensors and be able to integrate and fault find accordingly
Successful candidates will have experience, in the operation of one or more of the following:-
• Schilling HD/UHD systems;
• Triton- XLX and XLS systems
• Seaeye - Panther, Cougar and Tiger systems
• Sub-Atlantic - Comanche and Mohican systems
You will also hold a valid competence certificate (in line with IMCA guidelines), BOSIET and offshore medical. Full GWO (preferable). Preference will be given to candidates also holding valid HV certification, a second passport and valid seaman’s certification/books.
